Things I've tried really hard to like:
1. Cheesecake
2. Adam Sandler Movies
Seriously. I've tried really hard to like both. I like cream cheese, cake, and Adam Sandler's songs about Hannukah and his Red-Hooded Sweatshirt, and I'm sure he's a nice guy. I even like my friend's impersonation of Adam Sandler, but I just can't get into his movies. Or cheesecake. I want to like both of these things, but I just can't do it. Oh well.

Weird Dream.
In a geekful collusion of bad guys, the Cylons, Borg, and Agent Smith take over whatever planet it is that I'm on. Most everybody has disappeared. The bad guys catch me, but don't actually do anything to me. Smith explains that they just need the planet for its strategic military importance. I ask if they're going to turn me into a borg/robot. "Nah, probably not, I wouldn't worry about it," he says.
I gotta cut back on my TV watching.

Help for tsunami victims
The death toll from the South Asia tsunami disaster continues to rise — it now exceeds 100,000, and some project it could ultimately reach several hundred thousand people.
If you and/or your church would like to be involved in helping victims of this natural disaster through the work of a Christian agency, one option is World Vision. This organization will be providing Family Survival Kits, containing items like blankets, tarps for temporary shelter, water purification tablets and cooking supplies. They will also provide other critically needed relief response, such as food or medicine, where needs arise. You can find them (and make individual donations via credit card) at
