Weird Dream.

So, I was among a group of space-faring human refugees without a homeworld, who lived on a group of spaceships. I was a member of a delegation sent to meet with some aliens who might be possible allies. Their ship docked with ours and they came on board. The aliens looked like dogs and they were about a foot high. Anyway, we went down to their planet.

We arrive at this house, on which the vinyl siding didn't go all the way down to the ground, and I could see that the inside of the walls was filled with sleeping wiener dogs for insulation. Now, I know well enough to let sleeping dogs lie, so I didn't say anything. A beagle ran up to us, but he collapsed and fell asleep as he reached us. It was explained to me that there was a special field that extended out around the house that makes dogs, well, dog-tired when they come within six feet of the house.
